Kids say the darndest things....
I work with a lot of kids each week. They say the cutest things about pregnancy, and I've decided to keep track!
Discussing with 4 year old Sylvie how our baby will be born right around her birthday, possibly before, possibly after. She was really processing this and asked,
"How old will the baby be if it's born before my birthday?"
I respond, "Well, zero!"
She says, "No, it would be newborn."
Touche, Sylvie.
When guessing the gender of our baby, 6 year old Kindell says, "I think it's going to be a girl because it's coming from a girl!"
A 5 year old student and I were discussing how I was sick and was the baby sick, too? He pointed out the germs are inside of me, just like the baby. I explained the baby was feeling fine. He says, "But can it see the germs inside you?"
Memorable Quotes & Moments
After our gender reveal, we were talking with our friend Tommy about this little guy and all the things we can teach him. We got to talking about the potty training years and I pointed out how much I've noticed little boys really enjoy being able to pee in the trees, making it a little easier to get them to not pee in their training pants. He goes "Oh, when he figures out what that thing can do, he's going to use it outdoors!"
